As an attorney and shareholder for Blazier, Christensen, Browder & Virr, P.C. Jonathan Connor focuses his practice in general legal counsel for small to mid-sized businesses. He provides representation in business acquisitions and sales, contract negotiations and composition, and business succession planning strategies. In addition, Jonathan offers family legal counsel and custom estate planning solutions with a special focus on business succession and sales. Jonathan also represents joint property owners who wish to sell their share of property or have it divided (typically inherited property with more than one family member owning it) through what are called partition lawsuits.
Jonathan brings deep analytical experience to the firm along with an extensive background in corporate, limited liability company and partnership transactions. He has built a reputation for high-level legal management of business formations, acquisitions and sales, and private equity funding, developing business plans and contracts as outside general counsel for his clients.
Business owners and individuals turn to Jonathan, often on a repeat basis, for his experience in legal representation in all areas of estate planning, including trust planning and administration, legacy and business succession planning, and asset protection strategies. Mr. Connor credits his own experiences dealing with death or incapacity of a loved one for the understanding and compassionate approach he strives to take when handling estate planning and probate matters. He has been the lead attorney in numerous probate administration cases, from small estates to complicated heirships and court-monitored dependent matters.
Jonathan holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law at The University of the Pacific in Sacramento, California.
An Austin native, Mr. Connor is married and has a son of whom he is very proud. When not practicing law, he enjoys a variety of active pursuits, including snow skiing, fishing, sailing, martial arts and soccer, whether playing himself or watching his son play. He also loves traveling to new and repeat destinations.
